Why it’s iconic

Royal Troon Golf Club is located in Scotland.

This unique, watercolor-style golf course maps are collectable pieces of art, perfect for any golfer or golf fan. It's a keepsake and personal memento that you can proudly display on the wall of your home or official

Royal Troon Golf Course, located on the west coast of Scotland in the town of Troon, is one of the most historic and prestigious golf courses in the world. Founded in 1878, the course has hosted a total of nine Open Championships, the most recent being in 2016. It is renowned for its challenging and rugged links terrain, as well as its stunning views of the Ayrshire coastline.

The course was designed by the famous golf course architect, George Strath, who created a layout that takes full advantage of the natural landscape. It is a classic links course with undulating fairways, deep bunkers, and tricky greens that are heavily influenced by the wind. The par-71 course measures 7,175 yards from the championship tees and offers a true test of golfing skill for players of all abilities.

One of the most iconic holes on the course is the par-3 8th, known as the "Postage Stamp". It measures just 123 yards from the championship tees, but with a small green surrounded by five bunkers, it is widely considered one of the most difficult short holes in golf. The 11th hole, a par-5 called "The Railway", is also a standout, as it requires players to hit their approach shot over a railway line that runs alongside the fairway.

In addition to its challenging layout, Royal Troon is also known for its rich history and traditions. The clubhouse, which dates back to the late 19th century, is a beautiful example of Scottish architecture and provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for members and visitors alike. The course also has a number of unique traditions, such as the "mounding", where players must hit their approach shots over large mounds that are strategically placed on the fairways.

Over the years, Royal Troon has played host to some of the greatest players in golf history, including Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, and Tiger Woods. In 2016, it was the venue for the 145th Open Championship, which was won by Sweden's Henrik Stenson in a thrilling final round battle with Phil Mickelson. The tournament attracted a huge crowd, with thousands of fans flocking to Troon to witness the action.

Away from the course, Troon is a charming seaside town with plenty to see and do. Visitors can explore the town's historic streets and buildings, relax on the sandy beaches, or take a stroll along the picturesque promenade. There are also a number of excellent restaurants and bars in the area, where visitors can sample some of the finest Scottish cuisine and drinks.

In conclusion, Royal Troon Golf Course is a true gem of Scottish golfing heritage. Its challenging links layout, stunning views, and rich history make it a must-visit destination for any golfing enthusiast. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, a round of golf at Royal Troon is an unforgettable experience that you will treasure for a lifetime.
